George Schmoll will talk about issues such as: what is climate? Climate changed through the ages. Is it regional or global? What is a weather general circulation model and what does it tell us? Is climate change man- made and can man alter the climate significantly? Is CO2 the main contributor to climate change? What can we expect for future climate change?
Meteorology and climate have been his hobbies and interests since childhood, and he has become an expert in these areas. He overcame childhood polio and was admitted into the rigorous academic and physical curriculum at the U. S. Naval Academy with the Class of 1969. He had served in Navy anti-submarine warfare patrol airplanes during his Naval Reserve service prior to the Naval Academy. He received a subsequent bachelor degree engineering MBA in 1979.
His civilian life involved a range of highly-technical positions. These included involvement with areas such as high-energy lasers, aerial reconnaissance, side scan radar, hypersonic studies, and the design of a new computer for Sperry Univac. He wrote numerous articles using neural networks for trading markets and sold these programs for several years. He has been president of Market Modeling LLC since 2011, which develops software programs to analyze markets using evolutionary computational techniques. He holds numerous patents and has received many awards for his achievements.
