Aurora University students, faculty and staff autographed an “AU Community Canvas” Monday, March 31 in Crimi Auditorium lobby.

For the canvas, running five days, campus community members added notes of encouragement, generosity and appreciation with markers. The signings kicked off pop-events leading to the school’s first-ever Day of Generosity set for Friday, April 4.
An alumni office statement said, “On the Day of Generosity, the AU community will come together by making gifts to support students.” Donations were invited to the Future Promise Fund, Varsity Club and Emergency Micro Grant Fund, which aids students facing unexpected hardships.
The statement added, “We all share a vision for a thriving campus, a place where students are empowered to achieve their dreams. On April 4, we’re helping make that vision a reality with our first-ever Day of Generosity.
“This is more than just a day; it’s a celebration of our collective impact. It’s about recognizing the many ways we come together — through acts of generosity, engaging cultural experiences, and meaningful gifts that directly support student success.
“For 24 hours, starting on April 3 and culminating on April 4, every act of generosity, no matter how big or small, will help empower students, foster innovation, and build a strong community for everyone.
“Your participation matters. Whether you’re sharing a word of encouragement, joining a campus event, or making a gift, you’re contributing to the vibrant spirit that makes AU so special.”
