Dear editor;
Are we being lied to by some individuals in the media? Such as newspapers in New York City?
I saw a picture from The New York Times, the same picture taken seven years ago of all the caskets in Italy from the virus sweeping the world, at that time. Just recently, they showed the same picture, supposedly of all the caskets from all the dead in Italy, only this time they tagged it as deaths from the COVID-19. Same caskets, everything in both pictures was in the exact same position. Hmm… scare tactics?
I know COVID-19 is a serious virus, and we must wear masks and use sanitizer, and keep a distance. Those who won’t do the above, are putting an extra heavy load on the dedicated, already over-worked, exhausted, self-sacrificing, first responders, doctors, nurses, mail persons, clerks, and those who stock shelves so we can get food. Putting themselves in harm’s way for us. The individuals who say “I don’t wear a mask, I don’t need to sanitize” are probably the hoarders, too. Hooray for me, and to H- – – with you.
Recently, there was a picture of a man who died in one of the Dakotas, and then a picture of the same man, different name, and more than 4,000 miles away, died of the COVID-19. Identical twin? I doubt it.
Now, I’ve seen a report that lying on your back with a ventilator is doing more harm than good, The patient should be laying prone, so the lungs can more easily fill with air. For some reason, individuals who enter the ER with low O2 numbers, rapidly breathe better and their oxygen levels increase, if they are placed face down.
