Diabetes Club members to hear from Rick Sanchez, a diabetes prevention lifestyle coach Sept. 10

Members of the Diabetes Club of Fox Valley will hold their September membership meeting Wednesday, Sept. 10, at Oak Street Restaurant, 945 Oak Street, in North Aurora.

Meeting will be held in the East Banquet Room. Dinner is optional on members’ own from the menu at 5:30 p.m. and meeting will begin at 6:30 p.m..

Guest Speaker for this month’s membership meeting will be Rick Sanchez, a diabetes prevention lifestyle coach, and certified personal and group fitness trainer. He is the owner of Legacy Nutrition & Fitness, 77 South River Street, in downtown Aurora, and a member of the Diabetes Club of Fox Valley.

Rick, has created more than a gym — he’s built a wellness hub for the community.

November will be National Diabetes Awareness Month! Why not plan on attending our second annual gala dinner, “A Night To End Diabetes”, Friday, Nov. 14, (World Diabetes Day), at the Lincoln Inn, 1345 South Batavia Avenue, in Batavia.

Cocktails will be at 6:30 p.m., filet mignon and breast of chicken dinner at 7:30 p.m., and raffles, for $85 per person. Table of 10 for $800.

Members of the Diabetes Club of Fox Valley work together, to provide diabetes awareness in the Fox Valley area, while raising funds to provide aid and education for diabetics, along with investing in research to find a cure. Uncontrolled blood sugar (glucose) can cause vision problems, heart problems, nerve damage, dental problems, kidney damage and more. Eat healthy, stay active and have a yearly blood test, to stay diabetes free!

The Diabetes Club of Fox Valley is a 501(c)(3) Nonprofit Organization. A true grassroots organization, where all money raised through dues, donations and fundraising is used for the club’s fight against diabetes.
