Diabetes Club of Fox Valley ‘Meet & Greet’ Sept. 20; annual gala dinner ‘A Night To End Diabetes,’ November 14

The Diabetes Club of Fox Valley will hold it’s September “Meet and Greet”, organized by media chairperson, Ann McBride, to expose our Club and our mission, Saturday, Sept. 20, from 9 a.m. to noon, at Legacy Nutrition & Fitness, 77 S. River Street, in downtown Aurora. Legacy Nutrition & Fitness is more than a gym — it’s a wellness hub for the community!

Plan on stopping by, meet some of our members, pickup information on diabetes, prediabetes, healthy eating, and our Club’s new booklet “Recipes for Diabetics”.

November will be National Diabetes Awareness Month! Why not plan on attending our club’s second annual gala dinner, “A Night To End Diabetes”, Friday, Nov. 14, (World Diabetes Day), at the Lincoln Inn, 1345 South Batavia Avenue, in Batavia.

Cocktails will be at 6:30 p.m., filet mignon and breast of chicken dinner at 7:30 p.m., and raffles, for $85 per person. Table of 10 for $800.

Members of the Diabetes Club of Fox Valley work together to provide diabetes awareness in the Fox Valley area, while raising funds to provide aid and education for diabetics, along with investing in research to find a cure. Uncontrolled blood sugar (glucose) can cause vision problems, heart problems, nerve damage, dental problems, kidney damage and more. Eat healthy, stay active, and have a yearly blood test, to stay diabetes free!

Why not consider joining our fight against diabetes? You don’t need to be a diabetic, to be a member of our club! Why not invite a family member, friend or business associate to attend one of our meetings or events with you! Guests are always welcome! Yearly individual membership dues are $50 per year.
