During the Diabetes Club of Fox Valley March membership meeting, members learned the dangers of slow healing wounds, especially, if you’re diabetic. I felt it was a very informative presentation by Dr. Ken Olson, DC, and Dr. John Konopelski, from United Wound Centers, formerly known as Anodyne Pain and Wellness Solutions.

Dr. Ken Olson, is a Chiropractic physician with more than 24 years of experience. He is also the owner of Pure Health Aurora, where he specializes in providing personalized, comprehensive chiropractic care.

In 1999, Dr. Olson took a brave step in launching Olson Chiropractic Inc., a decision that would lay the foundation for what is now Pure Health Aurora. As a business owner, choosing to bear his own name was more than just a branding decision—it was a commitment to creating a practice that would reflect his personal dedication to the wellbeing of his patients.

Over the years, the practice flourished under Dr. Olson’s vision, expanding in both the services offered and the expertise of his team. In 2012, the practice had grown so much that it needed a new identity—one that would allow it to serve more people, while offering a broader range of health services, that’s when Pure Health Physical Medicine was born.

With a team of chiropractors, licensed massage therapists, and nurse practitioners, Pure Health Physical Medicine became a go-to place of innovation in healthcare, providing diverse solutions and treatment options. In 2019, Pure Health Physical Medicine joined the Anodyne Pain and Wellness group, offering additional physical therapy and cutting-edge technologies.

In 2024, Dr. Olson made a decision to step back from the corporate model that was no longer aligning with the practice’s core values. He recognized that in order to provide the highest level of care to his patients, Pure Health needed to return to its local roots and embrace a model that reflected the passion, commitment, and personalized care it was built on.

This led to the rebranding of the practice to Pure Health Aurora, bringing the business full circle, as the decision wasn’t just about a name change—it was about reclaiming the soul of the practice. Returning to local ownership and operation meant that decisions could be made with the community in mind, free from the influence of outside corporate interests. It also meant that Dr. Olson could continue to uphold the vision that had guided the practice from the beginning: a place where patients are treated like family and where healthcare is more than just a service—it’s a calling.

The future of Pure Health Aurora is bright, it’s powered by a commitment to local care, innovative treatments, and a relentless dedication to improving lives. Dr. Olson’s vision for Pure Health Aurora will never stop evolving. Pure Health Aurora will continue to embrace new ideas, new treatments, and new ways to serve their patients. Our community’s health is at the heart of everything they do. Visit their website: www.purehealthaurora.com.
