The Diabetes Club of Fox Valley was founded on October 1, 2022, by 15 individuals who wanted to bring about an awareness of diabetes, provide aid and education for diabetics, while investing in research to find a cure.
The founders wanted the Diabetes Club of Fox Valley to be a true grassroots organization, that would represent the entire Fox Valley area, where all monies raised through dues, donations and fundraising would be used for the Club’s fight against diabetes.
Today, we are 70 members strong, working together providing aid, awareness, education, and research to find a cure for diabetes!
The Diabetes Club of Fox Valley has made more than $27,000 in donations, for diabetes research, and to organizations who treat diabetics, and/or assist diabetics of all ages, in confronting their diabetic health issues.
Fighting diabetes starts with making everyone in the Fox Valley area aware of diabetes and prediabetes, and how uncontrolled blood sugar (glucose) can cause vision, heart and dental problems, along with nerve and kidney damage.
Diet and exercise are two of the most powerful tools we all have to help control our blood glucose. Eat healthy, stay active, and have a yearly blood test, to stay diabetes-free!

The Diabetes Club of Fox Valley meets monthly, January through November on the second Wednesday, at Oak Street Restaurant, 945 Oak Street, in North Aurora.
Meetings are held in the East Banquet Room. Dinner is optional on members’ own from the menu at 5:30 p.m. and meetings begin at 6:30 p.m.. Guests are always welcome!
November will be National Diabetes Awareness Month! Mark your calendar today, and plan on attending our club’s second annual gala dinner, “A Night To End Diabetes”, Friday, Nov. 14, (World Diabetes Day), at the Lincoln Inn, 1345 South Batavia Avenue, in Batavia.

There will be dancing to the live music by Phoenixx, a powerhouse of vintage rhythm and harmony channeling the spirit of legends from Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. Cocktails will be at 6:30 p.m., filet mignon and breast of chicken dinner at 7:30 p.m., and raffles, for $85 per person. Table of 10 for $800.
