In the virtual world of the pandemic, digital marketing is more important than ever.
At the Aurora Public Library District (APLD), we’ve shifted much of our marketing efforts to social media platforms such as Facebook and Instagram over the past year with much success.
If you’d like to grow your business’ success through digital marketing too, join us at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, May 27 for SCORE: Customer Value Optimization, a virtual business workshop. SCORE is a nonprofit that helps small businesses thrive through education and mentoring. SCORE: Customer Value Optimization will be presented by Francesca Hindmon, president and founder of Monarch Web Solutions. Please note that registration for the program is required.
During the workshop, participants will discover how to employ customer value optimization in order to improve their digital marketing ROI (return on investment) and increase their profits. By the end of the program, business owners will gain knowledge on how to market their material to their customers in the best way through a statement of value. They’ll learn how to market their product or services to their customers at the optimal time.
If this sounds daunting, don’t be afraid! “Most people believe digital marketing is extremely complex, but it is simply marketing, fundamentally,” Hindmon said in reassurance. “It is the act of promoting and selling products and services by using online marketing tactics such as social media marketing, search marketing and E-mail marketing. A good starting point to better understand digital marketing simply would be to remove the word ‘digital’ and refer to it as good old-fashioned marketing.”
When asked about the importance of digital marketing Hindmon said, “It makes buying and selling much faster. Digital marketing is the new marketing of our times. It is here to stay and will continue to grow.”
APLD is not only deeply committed to helping the Aurora business community through English programs such as SCORE: Customer Value Optimization; the Library is host to business workshops in Spanish, too. If you’re interested in learning how to manage your cash flow effectively, tune in through Facebook Live at 6 p.m. Tuesday, May 25 for Aprende Administrar el Dinero que Entra y Sale de tu Negocio.
In addition to attending informative marketing programs, APLD business librarian Drea Flores points out that “an important aspect of marketing is doing market research. Our business community may not realize that the Library subscribes to several resources that business owners can (gain) access for free to find valuable information to help them start or grow their business,” such as AtoZdatabases.
A frequent user explains that they use the database to “sort by industry and zip code so I can maximize calling efforts in a specific part of town. In particular, I like to focus on seasonality to get in front of a prospect before they get into their busy season.”
Al Williams, a certified sales performance and leadership coach and past speaker at APLD, is an advocate of the database as well, finding it useful for both clients and business owners alike to find businesses they’d want to share work.
You can see Williams’ presentation on navigating productivity challenges and enhancing sales strategies in the “Controlling the Controllables” workshop on our YouTube channel. Many of our other past business workshops are available there as well.
But we hope to see you live during SCORE: Customer Value Optimization, too!
