The Oswego Senior Center, 156 E. Washington Street, Oswego, will be host to many events for seniors. All events will take place at the Oswego Senior Center unless otherwise noted.

• Medicare Discussions: Medicare Advantage Plans, Wednesday, May 22, 10 a.m..

Medicare Advantage Plans are HMOs, PPOs, and PFFS. Attendees can learn about the variety of plans available, along with all the ins and outs of items to consider when choosing a Medicare pathway. For individual help with Medicare, meet with a SHIP Counselor. To RSVP for the class or make an appointment, call 630-554-5602.

• Caregiver Education Series: Caregiver Burnout and Isolation, Tuesday, May 21, 11 a.m..

The Oswego Senior Center has developed a collaboration of caregivers/aging professional entities to deliver an on-going monthly education series to provide caregiver education and resources. This topic will discuss how caregiving can cause severe burnout and isolation. Ways to cope and why isolation can be a caregivers’ worst enemy. Presented by Kendall County Health Department.

• Groot Recycling, Where does Our Recycling Go—the Process & What Recycles?, Wednesday, May 22, 11 a.m..

Groot will discuss the best practices for customers for the recycling program at the Oswego Senior Center. Attendees can learn what to recycle, why some things are no longer recyclable and the recycle markets current state. Everyone has a carbon footprint; it effects the recycle market.
