Dolan and Murphy fastpitch softball team finished 0-2 in the International Softball Congress (ISC) tournament an was 2-2 in the ISC II bracket to finish the season with a 16-17 record.
In Dolan’s first ISC tournament game against Niagara, Ont., in the first inning Robert Reder was hit by a pitch and Mick Baker hit a two-run home run.
In the third inning Reder hit a solo home run to put Dolan ahead 3-0. Niagara took a 4-3 lead into the top half of the seventh inning only to see Dolan rally. Cooper Carson doubled to drive in one run then Cayton Wallace singled in one run and Robert Reder doubled in another run to give Dolan a 6-4 lead going into the bottom of the seventh inning and Niagara rallied to score two runs and then scored one run in the eighth inning to win the game, 7-6.
In the next game Dolan lost 5-4 to end the ISC portion of the weekend.
Leading the offense was John Schweighart with two home runs. Michael Jamieson was the losing pitcher.
With the loss Dolan was placed into the ISC II tournament. Dolan finished in seventh place in the ISC II with a 2-2 record.
In their first ISC II game Dolan defeated Fisher’s Softball of Pennsylvania, 8-4. Jamieson was the winning pitcher. Hannon Hoani collected three hits with two runs batted in, Schweighart had three hits and two RBIs, and Reder, Baker, and Cayton Wallace each with two hits and one RBI.
Dolan lost to the Shakespeare Falcons of Ontario, Canada, 5-4. Jamieson was the losing pitcher and leading the offense was Reder with one double and three RBIs and Nathan Watson with one RBI.
Dolan defeated Morongo Rez, Calif., 5-0. Jamieson was the winning pitcher and struck out eight and gave up six hits. Leading the offense were Kyle Pittman with one home run and Reder with one home run and two RBIs.
Dolan was eliminated by Waterdow Hammer of Canada, 5-0.
