Dolan and Murphy fastpitch softball team tied for fifth place in the recent National Invitation Tournament (NIT) in Denmark, Wis..
Dolan won its first game, 4-2, over the Michigan Lightning. Michael Jamieson was the winning pitcher and leading the offense were Tom Crouch and Cooper Carson with two hits each and he ageless one Mike Drew with two RBIs.
Dolan then defeated Ashland, Ohio, 7-3. Joel Cooley was the winning pitcher and leading the offense were John Schweighart with three hits and three runs scored and Mark Aranda with three hits and four RBIs.
Dolan defeated Wabash, Ind., 7-3, with Michael Jamieson the winning pitcher and leading the were Tom Crouch with three hits Dave Perkins with two hits and two RBIs. Mick Baker and John Schweighart each with two hits apiece.
Dolan was then knocked out of the tournament by Green Bay, Wis., 8-2. Losing pitcher was Joel Cooley and leading the offense was Mark Aranda with a home run and two RBIs.
Michael Jamieson led the pitching with a 6-4 record. Leading the offense were Tom Crouch with a .375 batting average, Mick Baker at .372, and John Schweighart with a .350 average.
Dolan plans to resume a normal schedule next Summer.
