Aurora Methodists are collecting donations for victims of flooding in Jackson, Miss.
Rev. John Bell, Wesley UMC pastor, said “Join us in prayer for the people of Mississippi experiencing devastating flooding in the Jackson area.”
He added, “To donate to support Mississippi flood relief, ongoing Kentucky flood relief or to support a wide range of responses to disasters across the U.S., bring or mail a check with ‘UMCOR U.S.’ written in the memo line to Wesley UMC, 14 N. May St., Aurora, IL 60506.”
Relief donations are administered through the United Methodist Committee on Relief (UMCOR), the global humanitarian aid and development organization of the United Methodist Church.
UMCOR is a nonprofit 5013 organization operated under the auspices of the UMC General Board of Global Ministries.
