Norma Peterson, sister-in-law of missing Bolingbrook, Illinois mother, Stacy Peterson, will be a part of the new production by REELZ Channel set to air Sunday, Nov. 8, Drew Peterson: Killer-in-Law.
The episode reviews the case of former Bolingbrook cop, Drew Peterson, currently sentenced to prison for the murder of his third wife, Kathleen Savio, and explores the still unsolved disappearance of his fourth wife, Stacy.
Norma Peterson relates the story from the perspective of being inside the family during the years before and after the tragedies. With Drew behind bars, she now feels safe to speak out about the family dynamic and how it relates to her current work for victims of domestic violence.
Peterson is the executive director of Document the Abuse a web-based organization which houses a way for abuse victims to safely leave a violent relationship by utilizing the Evidentiary Abuse Affidavit (EAA). She worked directly with Chicago native Susan Murphy Milano behind the scenes during her family’s high profile case and since its conclusion is able to become a public spokesperson for the safety of victims.
As an Illinois State Outreach Coordinator for the national organization, CUE Center for Missing Persons, Norma heads a team of volunteers within the organization who assist with implementing all aspects of Document the Abuse and the EAA.
