DuPage County’s Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Management (OHSEM) will be host to a public information and planning session regarding natural hazards that could impact the County.
The meeting is part of an effort to update DuPage County’s Natural Hazard Mitigation Plan, which is a process that takes place every five years. The meeting will be held from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday, March 21 at OHSEM offices, 418 N. County Farm Road, Wheaton.
OHSEM staff members will provide a brief presentation on natural hazards that could have an impact the County, including tornados, flooding, Winter weather, and more items, along with various mitigation measures intended to eliminate or reduce the negative impact of those hazards. The public will be able to provide feedback on the presentation. Language translation assistance in Spanish will be provided.
