Ken Lanham lives 800 miles from Aurora, but memories of his year at East Aurora High drew him back for the class of 1960’s 65th reunion Friday, June 20.

Lanham, 84, of Newnan, Georgia, an Atlanta suburb, was among 30 East Aurora alums and guests who attended the reunion Friday evening at Reuland’s Food Service. The former long-haul truck driver and volunteer fireman was accompanied by Milo, his mixed-breed dog. Lanham said he drove about 12 hours to attend the event.

The reunion culminated months of planning by organizer George Hauser. “Once a Tomcat, always a Tomcat” was the theme.

Features were a cash-bar reception followed by a buffet dinner.

Copies of the 1960 “Speculum,” East High’s yearbook, were placed on tables to peruse.
