Elwood Post Office named after Walsh, Sr.

Congressman Bill Foster (IL-11) will be host to a ceremony at 10 a.m. Friday, June 2, to rename the Elwood Post Office, 303 E. Mississippi Avenue, Elwood, after former Will County executive, the Lawrence M. “Larry” Walsh, Sr..

This comes after legislation to rename the Post Office, led by congressman Foster and senators Dick Durbin and Tammy Duckworth, was signed into law by president Joe Biden.
