Dear editor;
Charles Coddington’s column in the December 17 issue of The Voice, “Birth, death, miracle of Jesus, some facts examined” (https://thevoice.us/birth-death-miracle-of-jesus-some-facts-examined) certainly made my week. I wish everyone Merry Christmas and happy holidays to expand with happy Solstice. The Chas nailed the idea that Jesus the Christ is at the very least, son of man.
Regardless of one’s theological belief, creed, or philosophy about ultimate reality, and whether or not there is an afterlife in another dimension, the natural science belief is that mankind is united in survival and it behooves everyone to follow the natural law, the golden rule, and Confucius’ inverted golden rule of thou shalt not do unto others that which you do not wish done to yourself.
Be helpful, productive, and avoid even minor infractions on the law of the land. If everyone did the best to not cheat, lie, and steal, think how great 2021 can be. It came to me that as long as I do my best, there is nothing to worry about regarding the future.
Note my deliberate word earlier to describe the science deposit of knowledge: Belief. I think there is less that can be proven than we were led to believe in school.
The Chas column December 17 was great. What is a benefit to me each week is Jason Crane’s reports on Aurora City Hall Zoom meetings in The Voice. Those without computers otherwise are in the dark because we can’t sign up to attend meetings when they are virtual.
