Eight months ago, a tragic event at the Astroworld Festival in Houston, Texas took the life of 21-year-old Naperville resident and University of Dayton senior, Franco Patino. In his memory, Dayton students, family, and friends will hold a fundraising event to support the Franco Patino Memorial Endowed Fund for students at the school.
July 12, Lou Malnati’s Pizzeria will donate 20% of the total sales from every dine-in, carryout, or delivery order using the code FUNDFPM22 or by mentioning the Franco Patino Memorial Endowed Fund at the participating Lou Malnati’s pizzeria’s in downtown Naperville and on 95th Street in Naperville. It includes online and APP orders. The Lou Malnati’s, 131 West Jefferson Avenue, will hold raffles/silent auctions supporting the scholarship fund.
Patino was a 2018 graduate of Neuqua Valley High School in Naperville and was a junior at UD majoring in mechanical engineering with a minor in human movement biomechanics. He was an active member in his community and on the Dayton campus.
