Plano Train Day Saturday
Plano’s annual National Train Day will be at the Plano Depot 101 W. Main Street, Saturday from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.. Attendees can tour the historic depot and enjoy coffee with Plano’s mayor, Bob Hausler from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m.. There will be various train and railroad exhibits at the depot and the Amtrak will stop for its passengers.
There will be Plano area merchants available and the Smallville museum will be open. Plano’s Past will have some of its artifacts available for viewing. Tom Whitt from the Burlington Route Historical Society will attend, and Ryan Smith will have his 1/8 scale train. Tom Grant and Jim Hill will have model trains on display. There will be a touch-a-truck display and food from Ivana’s Café.

Youth Impact Summit Friday
The Youth Impact Summit, prevention and intervention strategies, will take place from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday at the Hampton Inn Suites, 2435 Bushwood Drive, Aurora. There will be round table discussions, comprehensive Summer work plans, and action steps. Keynote speaker will be Dr. Nehemiah Russell, youth at risk expert and gang consultant.
