The Diabetes Club of Fox Valley will hold it’s March “Meet and Greet”, organized by media chairperson, Ann McBride, to expose our Club and our mission, Saturday, March 14, from 9 a.m. to noon, at Jake’s Bagels & Deli, 220 N. Broadway, in downtown Aurora.
Jake’s Bagels & Deli is a popular, family owned bagel shop, known for their fresh steamed bagels made from scratch, a wide variety of cream cheeses, along with homemade soups and sandwiches.
Plan on stopping by, meet some of our members, pickup information on diabetes, prediabetes, healthy meal planning, and our “Diabetic Recipes” booklet, while enjoying a tasty treat, and a iced or hot coffee!

Members of the Diabetes Club of Fox Valley perceive that our country has a diabetes epidemic, that can only be solved by bringing groups of people together, highlighting the dangers of uncontrolled blood sugar (glucose), which can cause vision, heart and dental problems, in addition to nerve and kidney damage.
Start eating healthy, while staying active and having a yearly blood test, to stay diabetes free!
Members of the Diabetes Club of Fox Valley are looking forward to our 4th Annual “Tee Off to Defeat Diabetes” Golf Outing and Banquet, being held Saturday, June 6, at Bliss Creek Golf Course, 1 Golf View Road, in Sugar Grove, with a 1 p.m. shotgun start.
Matt McCain, golf committee co-chairperson, said, “It’s time to sign up. We’ve put together a complete golf outing package. Only $175 per golfer, which includes lunch, golf cart, goody bag, and a great steak dinner! Why not put your name or business on our Friends of DCFV Sponsorship Banner for $150, or become a hole sponsor: Bronze $300, silver $400, or gold for $500. Hole sponsors will be listed in our annual program and on the Friends of DCFV Banner, which will be displayed at the golf outing, and other Club events, throughout the summer. The Diabetes Club of Fox Valley is a 501(c)(3) Nonprofit Organization. A true grassroots organization, where all money raised through dues, donations and fundraising is used for the club’s fight against diabetes.
