Fourth of July Parade Grand Marshal Paul Konrad!

Aurora will celebrate the Nation’s 247th birthday with a grand parade Tuesday, July 4 through downtown with more than 60 exciting parade units led by our 2023 Grand Marshal WGN Television Weather Anchor & Aurora Native Paul Konrad! 

But even before the parade steps off, there are amazing things happening:

  • 8:45 A.M. MEET & GREET PAUL KONRAD at the Aurora Public Art building, 20 E. Downer Place, on the third floor. A graduate of Waubonsie Valley High School, Paul Konrad is a nine-time Emmy Award winning television weather anchor for Chicago’s top-rated WGN Morning News, reaching millions of viewers per week. 
  • 9:30 A.M. THE PRE-PARADE CEREMONY will feature remarks from the Grand Marshal, and an exciting performance by hit acapella group & vocal ensemble, Radius! Dylan, Gabe, Ethan, Ben, and Sam will bring a new patriotic flavor to kick off the holiday! Bring the family to hear them and pick up your free American Flag! The Reviewing Stand is located at 20 E. Downer Place. 
  • 10: A.M.: PARADE STEPS OFF at the intersection of Benton and Broadway, heads north on Broadway to Downer, west on Downer to River Street.
