The Fox River Arts Ramble has been scheduled from from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday, June 5. The event is a collaborative effort of the Fine Line Creative Arts Center, St. Charles; the St. Charles Arts Council; and Water Street Studios in Batavia. It was created in 2018 with the mission of promoting arts and culture in the Fox River Valley. More than 50 artists opened their studios to the public that year. The 2020 event was canceled due to COVID.
Artists, businesses, and galleries from Aurora to Elgin are invited to open their spaces to the public. Artists may have artwork on display for sale, or for viewing. Artists interested in a primary host location at Fine Line, Water Street Studios, and Mt. St. Mary Park in St. Charles, which is serving as the St. Charles Arts Council host location, may do so upon registration. Artists must provide their own tents at these locations. Cost is $100/tent. At registration participants, may indicate a preference for one primary host location over another. Preference will be given to the artist requests, but the Arts Ramble Committee will have the final decision to ensure equal distribution of artists.
Applications, participation fees and high-resolution images must be submitted by Friday, April 16. The event will be held rain or shine.
Registration and further details can be found at FoxRiverArts.com or, contact Kathy Hill, director at the St. Charles Arts Council at info@stcharlesartscouncil.org.
