Community Foundation of the Fox River Valley recently announced the creation of the Fox Valley Grantmakers COVID-19 Response Fund.
Fox Valley area funders have come together to establish the Fox Valley Grantmakers COVID-19 Response Fund at the Community Foundation of the Fox River Valley to support nonprofits in the greater Fox Valley.
The Aurora Women’s Empowerment Foundation (AWEF), Community Foundation of the Fox River Valley (CFFRV), Dunham Fund, (DF), Fox Valley United Way (FVUW), and the INC Board have seeded this fund with $280,000.
“I am thrilled that these five (Fox Valley) area grantmakers can come together with combined funds to better support struggling nonprofits during this extremely difficult time,” said Julie Christman, CFFRV president and CEO.
“I am especially pleased that Fox Valley United Way’s Fox Valley Coronavirus Relief Fund will be added to the Fox Valley Grantmakers COVID-19 Response Fund.”
Although we do not know what the lasting impact of COVID-19 will have on our communities, we know that our nonprofit partners are struggling to keep up with the demand for services, and they need our help more than ever! CFFRV asks corporations, businesses, and individuals to join us in growing this fund.
The grantmaking partners feel that the Community Foundation of the Fox River Valley is the appropriate partner to administer the Response Fund. It is the trusted and reliable source to accept donor funds. Donors can be assured 100% of the money raised will pass directly to our communities.
