The Fox Valley Park District (FVPD) will hold its annual job fair from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 22, at the Prisco Community Center, 150 W. Illinois Avenue.
FVPD officials will seek to fill between 250 and 300 vacancies, the majority of which are seasonal positions, though there are some full-time and year-round part-time opportunities available. Seasonal positions include parks and grounds, recreation, community centers, camps, and aquatics.
Benefits of the job fair allow those interested to:
• Meet Park District staff members and supervisors looking to hire seasonal help;
• Find the right opportunity to suit their needs;
• Learn about the perks and benefits the FVPD has to offer;
• Bring their resume and highlight their strengths.
“I actually like to call it more of a ‘hiring fair,’ because we’re hiring on the spot,” said Lisa Santoria, the FVPD’s director of human resources. “This is a perfect opportunity for college- and high school-age students to secure a Summer position before classes wrap up for the year.”
The job fair is ideal for retirees looking for ways to fill their Summer, or anyone interested in supplementing their income, Santoria said.
Laptops will be available for job seekers to complete an online application for the position(s) they desire. For a list of current job openings, visit www.foxvalleyparkdistrict.org.
For questions or additional information, contact Lisa Santoria at lsantoria@fvpd.net or 630-966-4517.
