The Friends of the Yorkville Public Library invite book-lovers of every age to one of the most anticipated literary events of the year: our Used Book Sale, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, March 7 at the Library, 902 Game Farm Rd, Yorkville.

This year’s sale is bigger, better, and more inclusive than ever—and we’re especially excited to spotlight our expanded Large Print collection. With a larger selection of Large Print books than we’ve ever offered before, this sale is a dream come true for readers who value comfort, clarity, and the joy of getting lost in a great story without the eye strain. From bestselling fiction to compelling nonfiction, mysteries, biographies, and beyond, our Large Print section alone is worth the trip.

To make the March 2026 sale bigger and better than ever, the Friends of the Yorkville Library are actively seeking donations. Gently used adult and children’s books—hardcover and paperback—are always in high demand, along with fiction and nonfiction titles, DVDs, Blu-rays, audiobooks, and puzzles. Everyone can drop off their donations at the Yorkville Public Library during regular hours, any day except Sundays, before the Used Book Sale date. Your donations directly help fill tables with exciting finds and ensure there is truly something for everyone.

Of course, that’s just the beginning. Browse thousands of gently used treasures, including adult and children’s books (hardcover and paperback), DVDs, Blu-rays, audiobooks, and puzzles—all priced to delight your wallet. Whether you’re an avid reader, a casual browser, a parent building a home library, or a lifelong learner searching for your next great read, there’s truly something for everyone.

A variety of themed raffle baskets will be on display in the library lobby beginning February 10, giving you plenty of time to browse and pick your favorites. Raffle tickets are on sale at the circulation desk and will be available throughout February and all day during the Used Book Sale on March 7. The drawing will be at 4 p.m. March 7, and you do not need to be present to win—so be sure to get your tickets early and often!

More than a book sale, this event is a celebration of community, accessibility, and the love of reading. The sale is welcoming and accessible to people of all ages and abilities, making it a perfect outing for families, seniors, and readers of all kinds. Every purchase—and every raffle ticket—directly supports the Yorkville Public Library, helping fund programs, services, and resources that enrich lives throughout our community.
