Fun fall Family Day at Aurora University

Families flocked to Aurora University’s fall Family Day Saturday, Oct. 5 at the Schingoethe Center museum.

The free, public event featured crafts, a kite construction station and the “Waterways” art exhibit.

Additional activities were bingo, museum tours, Halloween masks, supplied stickers, diamond painting, coloring pages, a scavenger hunt, prize wheel and refreshments.

“Waterways,” an exhibit showcasing paintings, prints, photos, sculpture and installation pieces by 40 artists celebrating Midwest waterways, continues through Dec. 12. The museum is in the Hill Welcome Center, 1315 Prairie Street in Aurora.

The public is invited. Admission and parking are free. Center hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday; and 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesdays.
