Books needed for Used Book Sale
The Friends of the Yorkville Public Library are planning their 10th annual Used Book Sale. This great fundraiser has brought in $41,800 for the Library during the past nine years, with help, we can add to this total. Money raised by the sale goes directly to the support the Yorkville Library.
The Used Book Sale will be held during Hometown Days, Saturday and Sunday, September 1 and 2. The group is looking for donations of gently-used books of all types. Paperbacks, hardcover, and books for adults and children are all accepted.
All books should be brought to the main desk at the Library.
The Friends of the Yorkville Library is a volunteer group of individuals focused on supporting and promoting the services and programs of the Library. Membership information is available at the Library and on the Library’s home page, The Friends meet the second Monday of each month at 10:15 a.m. at the Library.

Wine on the Fox seeks volunteers
Wine on the Fox will be Saturday, May 5, and Sunday, May 6, at Hudson Crossing Park in downtown Oswego, and we need volunteers!
With more than 120 featured wines, two stages of live entertainment, and food pairings, Wine on the Fox is Chicagoland’s wine event of the Spring, in Oswego!
Volunteers give 2.5 hours of their time welcoming visitors and pouring wine. In exchange, you’ll get a basic wine-tasting package including a commemorative wine glass, wristband, and five wine tickets.
