Garfield English Tea Friday
Scentimental Gardens owner Debra Phillips, long-time friend and supporter of Garfield Farm Museum, will hold an English Garden Tea Benefit at 35W074 Army Trail Road, St. Charles from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Friday, July 20. A portion of the $10. per person proceeds will be donated to Garfield Farm & Inn Museum.
Included will be a stroll through an extraordinary garden designed and installed by Ms Phillips. Presentations at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. will be on cut flower arranging and guests will have the chance to enter raffles to win prizes valued at more than $300.. Pastries provided by Cocoa Bean of Geneva, and iced tea will be available for purchase.

Compassion Foundation Golf Aug. 6
The Compassion Foundation will hold its 30th Annual Golf Classic Monday, Aug. 6, at the Aurora Country Club. The non-profit organization has provided grants to service groups helping those in need in the Fox Valley area, since 1989.
Limited Eagle Sponsors for this year’s outing will have the opportunity for their golf foursomes to play all 18 holes with one of four 1985 Chicago Bear Super Bowl champions: Jim Morrissey, Kurt Becker, Otis Wilson, or Emery Moorehead. A raffle winner’s foursome will play the course with Super Bowl champion Steve McMichael.
Registration will begin at 10:30 a.m. August 6, and will be followed with a buffet lunch at 11:30 a.m..
Shotgun start is set for 1 p.m. and dinner for 6 p.m.. Non-golfers are invited to join for dinner and open bar portion of the event.
