Reason to Rock for Scleroderma Fun Walk
The event will help raise funds for research of Scleroderma, a chronic, often progressive autoimmune disease, in which the body’s immune system attacks its own tissues. The event will be Sunday at Northwestern Medicine Field, 34W002 Cherry Lane in Geneva. Registration will open at 11:30 a.m. and the walk on the field will begin at noon. Walking is not mandatory. There will be fun with varied food venders, drinks, vintage car show, live band Sling Blade, bounce house, and other kid entertainment, and raffle prizes.
Costs: Adults, $35, youth ages nine to 17, $20, and children eight and younger, $10. There will be no additional charge.
Scleroderma for many individuals it is a life-threatening disease and has a serious impact on daily life. There is no cure now.

Fox Valley Habitat party Aug. 18
Fox Valley Habitat will have events Saturday, Aug. 18 and Sunday, Sept. 9.
The first event will be Faith Build 2018 Community Block Party, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. and radio station K-LOVE, fun, food, fellowship, music, raffle baskets and activities for the family. The event will be at 1551 Solfisburg Avenue, Aurora. To RSVP visit volunteer

The second event will be Swing Fore Fox Valley Habitat, from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 9 at Topgolf Naperville, 3211 Odyssey Court, Naperville. There will be a buffet, golf, 50/50 raffle, and fun for the family. Cost is $65 per golf player, and $45 for spectators. The event is sponsored by Rejoice Lutheran Church in Geneva.
