Fox Valley Habitat party Sept. 9
Fox Valley Habitat will have event Sunday, Sept. 9.
The first event will be Faith Build 2018 Community Block Party, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. and radio station K-LOVE, fun, food, fellowship, music, raffle baskets and activities for the family. The event will be at 1551 Solfisburg Avenue, Aurora. To RSVP visit volunteer fvhabitat.com.
The second event will be Swing Fore Fox Valley Habitat, from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 9 at Topgolf Naperville, 3211 Odyssey Court, Naperville. There will be a buffet, golf, 50/50 raffle, and fun for the family. Cost is $65 per golf player, and $45 for spectators. The event is sponsored by Rejoice Lutheran Church in Geneva. Suicide Prevention Services walk Sept. 8
Suicide Prevention Services of America in Batavia, will be host to its 11th annual Here for LIFE Suicide Awareness Walk Saturday, Sept. 8, at Pottawatomie Park, 8 North Avenue, St. Charles. Registration will start at 8 a.m. with a balloon launch at 8:50 a.m. and the walk will begin at 9 a.m..
This walk will be an amazing awareness event for those who have lost someone to suicide, for those who suffer from depression, or for those who which to support the cause.
Each walker will receive a custom donation link to begin fundraising. Walker/registrant must raise a minimum of $50 in donations and register by Tuesday, Sept. 4 in order to receive an event T-shirt.
