Pizza, pasta, Tuesday for Food Pantry
An all-you-can-eat pizza and pasta dinner fundraiser to help benefit Marie Wilkinson Food Pantry of Aurora will be held by the Aurora Noon Lions Club at Luigi’s Pizza and Fun Center, 732 Prairie Street in Aurora, from 5 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 5. The public is invited to the third annual event.
Donations are $8 for adults and $6 for children ages four to 12. One dollar of each donation will benefit the food pantry.
The menu will include pizza, pasta with meat sauce or meatless sauce, garden salad, jello with fruit, and fruit punch.

Red Carpet Party March 9 in Yorkville
The Oswego Junior Woman’s Club (OJWC) will be host to its fourth annual Red Carpet Party Fundraiser at 6 p.m. Saturday, March 9 at Whitetail Ridge Golf Club, 7671 Clubhouse Drive, Yorkville. Tickets are $75 per person or $700 for a table of 10 and includes a plated, two-entree dinner, open bar for the first two hours followed by a cash bar, raffle, and silent auction items, and door prizes. Eighties rock band, EPIC will provide the musical entertainment.
All proceeds for the event will go toward college scholarships for senior students at both Oswego High School and Oswego East High School. In 2017, the Oswego Juniors awarded $8,000 in scholarships and they increased that total to $10,000 in 2018. The groups to continue the upward trend in scholarship funds available to award.
This year’s Diamond event sponsors are Air Dynamics Heating & Cooling and Aquaduct Plumbing Services.
