Cosmo Club wine-tasting April 26
Cosmopolitan Club of Aurora, the Club that fights Diabetes invites everyone to its eighth annual Wine Tasting Fundraiser to start at 6:30 p.m. Friday April 26 at Fox Valley Winery, 5600 Route 34, Oswego.
Admission is $30 and includes five wine tastes and hors d’oeuvres.
There will be a raffle of four Cubs tickets, 50/50 drawing, and unique basket raffles.
Proceeds will help research for a cure for diabetes, scholarships for diabetic children to attend diabetic camp, Paws Saving Lives (Diabetic Alert Dogs) and various community charities.

The Aurora Cosmo Club celebrates more than 90 years of continuous service to the Fox Valley area. Meetings are the third Thursday of the month at Oak Street Cafe, North Aurora.

Noon Lions Club: Pancake breakfast
Aurora Noon Lions Club will hold its 12th annual Pancakes with the Easter Bunny breakfast from 7:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. Saturday, April 20, at Luigi’s Pizza and Fun Center, 732 Prairie Street in Aurora.
The public is invited. Parking and immediate color photos by a Lions Club photographer with the Easter bunny are free of charge.
The Lions will donate a minimum of $250 to Marie Wilkinson Food Pantry in Aurora. For each dollar, the Pantry can buy $8 in food from Northern Illinois Food Bank in Geneva said Diane Renner, Pantry director.
The menu includes all-you-can-eat pancakes, sausage, mini-donuts, orange juice, and coffee or milk.
Tickets are $6 for adults, $4 for children three to 12 years old, and $25 for a family. A $1 “14-carrot early Bunny” ticket discount will be offered from 7:30 a.m. to 8:30 a.m..
Breakfast proceeds will benefit visually and hearing impaired in Illinois and worldwide.
