Downtown Taste tickets available
Attendees of Aurora’s Downtown Taste can treat themselves to an eating extravaganza from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday, July 30 in downtown Aurora. Foodies can explore the downtown and enjoy diverse, authentic food, and culinary treats while supporting the Exchange Club of Aurora and their annual scholarships to high school students.
There will be live music at several venues and free trolley service will drop off participants at participating restaurants.
Ticket books cost $30 and include five tickets to participating restaurants. There will be more than a dozen eateries to choose from throughout the evening.
Ticket books can be picked up at the Santori Public Library of Aurora, 101 S. River Street, from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.. Tickets can only be purchased in person during this time with cash.
An Exchange Club welcome table will be set up at Ballydoyle where tickets can be purchased throughout the evening from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m..
Participating restaurants include: Ballydoyle Irish Pub and Restaurant, Gillerson’s Grubbery, La France Bakery, Subway: Six-inch cold sub, Taco Grill, Tecalitlan Mexican Restaurant, Tredwell Coffee, U Samba?, La Quinta de los Reyes, and Endiro Coffee.

Fox Valley Marines golf Aug. 14
The 12th Annual Fox Valley Marines Golf Classic will take place from 10:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 14 at Bliss Creek Golf Club, 1 Golfview Road, Sugar Grove.
It will be a fun day with all proceeds to help benefit the Aurora Area Interfaith Food Pantry, the Marie Wilkinson Food Pantry, and the Fox Valley Marines.
