Effort seeks funds for mural in Yorkville
The Yorkville Public Library and Kendall Arts Guild have joined to raise funds to for artist Eulojio Ortega to paint a mural that would greet the public at the entrance of the Library at 902 Game Farm Road. It would excite the minds of those who enter the Library. The addition to the library was built 12 years ago.
A breathtaking example of Ortega’s work can be viewed at the Kendall County Courthouse, where a mural featuring the history of Kendall County, funded through donations to the Kendall Arts Guild, is on display above the foyer entrance.
The Kendall Arts Guild greatly appreciates any contributions to help with funds for the library mural. The guild is a 501(c)3 not-for-profit corporation and all donations are tax deductible. Checks can be made to the Kendall Arts Guild with Yorkville Library Mural in the memo and mailed to: Kendall Arts Guild, Box 117, Yorkville, IL 65060.
