Christmas preparation arrives in Geneva Friday, Dec. 7 with the annual appearance of Santa Lucia, top, and Santa Claus by horse-drawn carriage, below.
Santa Lucia passed out Swedish cookies, and Santa made his Geneva debut to open his Gingerbread House. Events included carolers, lighting of the Great Tree on the Court House lawn, roasted chestnuts, an old-fashioned candy cane pull, live nativity, carriage rides and holiday shopping. The event was sponsored by the Geneva Chamber of Commerce.
