I’m sorry to butt in, but that is not the precise way.
The actual truth and what those lyrics say are not the same.
If we are led astray, then we’re the only ones to blame.
While Satan has the power to attract and tease and lure,
That power is not absolute, unbreakable, or pure.
In order for him to succeed, then you must first agree;
And without your consent, the lure is gone, and so is he.
For when you tell the devil “No!”, you’ll instantly employ
The ways and means to then experience “comfort and joy!”
