The Friends of the Great Western Trails (GWT) are honored to announce that the president of the Forest Preserve District of DuPage County, Daniel Hebreard, is joining the Friends of the Great Western Trails to clean the GWT during this year’s annual all-volunteer trails cleanup. The start time is planned for 9 a.m. Saturday, April 23. A rain/snow date will be Saturday, April 30.
Hebreard will be cleaning the section of the GWT that runs through the Timber Creek Forest Preserve in West Chicago. The starting point will be at Prince Crossing Road.
Other volunteers can join in the cleanup because we have more than 90 miles of the GWT and IPP to clean. An interested group representative who wants to join in the cleanup can call to advise and we’ll find a spot for cleanup. Send an E-mail to frndsgrtwstntrl@aol.com.
