“Hadestown: Teen Edition,” 2019 Tony Award winner for best musical, is coming to Aurora Central Catholic High School (ACC), 1255 N Edgelawn Drive in Aurora.

Philip Nohl, ACC drama director, said ACC students will perform the show at 7 p.m. Thursday and Friday, Nov. 8-9 and at 3 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 10. The public is invited. Parking is free. General admission is $10; reserved seats are $15. Padded seats will go to the first 100 reserved-seat purchasers.

According to Nohl, “We are one of the first schools in Illinois to do this show. Hadestown is the story of a boy who hopes to bring the whole world back into tune with his music. He falls in love with a girl who is down on her luck.

“As their relationship grows, she is forced to take a job that locks her away from him. Will fate be with them? Will they find their love again?

“Based on the Greek Myth of Orpheus and the Underworld, this show will have you dancing in the aisles one moment and have your heart full of hope the next.”

Concessions will be available. Tickets are available in advance or at the door. Deadline to order reserved seats is November 8. Call 630-907-0095 or visit Auroracentral.com.
