It’s been four years of nonstop harassment and attacks on Donald Trump. It all ended, at least for now, in a second acquittal in his second impeachment trial. The charge against him this time was “incitement of insurrection.” The charge was alluded to by Nancy Pelosi and her clan minutes after the Capitol breach January 6. As usual, it was deemed no investigation was needed to establish facts in the case. The Democratic Party accusation was enough for the House to vote for impeachment. The president was not represented in the impeachment hearing by council. This lack of representation had occurred in the first impeachment, just a little more than a year ago. The pre-vote to impeachment speeches, in the House, amounted to partisan political attacks on the president. For those who liked a little theater with their impeachments, we were treated to House of Representatives and their blubbering tearful accounts of their terror during the breach of the Capitol building. Rashida Tlaib sobbed alligator tears as Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (AOC) held her hand. As I watched, I was amused to consider, “these are the representatives who would send our military to war…. yet here they are crying over this.” What a display of cowardice!!” I thought.
President Trump stood up in front of 30,000 to 50,000 persons January 6 and listed the fraud that had been November 3-5 et. al. The vote counting lasted to the fifth of November, even as mail-in balloting had been going on for weeks. Why was any more time necessary? Trump informed the American people what had gone on in the battleground states and the total abdication, by those states, for following their own election laws. Trump went into a litany of illegal actions that had gone on as a result of not following election laws, including the purging of poll-watchers from the counts, middle of the night counts when no one was watching with the exception of cameras, dead people voting, voter machine fraud, internet manipulations of voting machines, flash drive alterations resulting in huge spikes of votes for Joe Biden. You get the picture. Trump said that the people of this country should continue to “fight” to make sure their vote was honored and counted.
Democrats considered Trump’s speech “incitement” even though he had told his supporters to “Go peacefully and as patriots to support their senators at the Capitol building.” Trump had said that people should “fight” for their votes to count.
House managers, of course, took the word as literal truth. When the president’s council played the context in which the word had been used…..the lie the Democrats had told was revealed. The President’s council played a montage of Dems using “fight” in the same way Trump had used it. The FBI did an investigation into the breach at the Capitol and found that for weeks before the president’s speech, there had been plans made for it to occur. The obvious question is “How did the president’s speech incite an attack that was already planned in advance of the speech?”
“Insurrection” is the other word in the only article of impeachment against the president. One shot was fired by a guard that killed a young unarmed female Air Force veteran. The other death was of a guard who, after the attack of the Capitol building was over….went to his office and collapsed. The Dems told us there were five persons who died at the Capitol. This was another lie. There were three who died of heart attacks and one of a stroke away from the Capitol in the crowd listening to the speech a mile and a half from the Capitol building. It’s a pretty lame insurrection when only one shot is fired and that is of a security policeman shooting a woman crawling through a window. No shots were fired by anyone entering the Capitol.
The plan for this impeachment was to convict Trump so he could never run for elected office again. There was no substance to this impeachment. There was only the desire to prevent the American people from voting for Trump in another election. The Democrats have had Russian Collusion and two impeachments in a 24/7 attempt by media and all of Washington, D.C. to rid themselves of a man who was an outsider to the D.C. elite.
Trump’s largest accomplishment in the four years, to my estimation, has been revealing, to the American people, the disaster that is Washington D.C..
