Ryan Blaney had the fastest car and won the pole position in his Penske Ford.
The dominating car, and winner, of all three stages of the race was Kevin Harvick in his Stewart Haas Ford. Following Harvick was Kyle Busch in second place, Kyle Larson third, Martin Truex, Jr. in fourth, and Ryan Blaney in fifth.
Blaney and Larson appeared to be the only cars that could challenge Harvick.
On the final laps Kyle Busch and Larson got up to Harvick and finished second and third respectively.
This was Harvick’s 100th victory in his Nascar career and second of the season, only three races into the season.
Daytona winner Austin Dillon is in 10th place in the standings and only led one lap.
Kyle Larson won the Xfinity race Saturday and led 142 laps.
Jimmie Johnson broke his spell of not finishing a race this year with a lap-down, 12th-place finish. It was only after failing pre-race inspection and one of his team members being ejected from the race.
Teams are still complaining about the Nascar-issued air guns which have reportedly caused loose wheels.
Monster Energy Folds of Honor Quick Trip 500, Atlanta Motor Speedway, Atlanta, Ga., Sunday, Feb. 25.
Harvick was the leader for 181 of 325 laps and dominated the field for the victory. Following Harvick was Brad Keselowski in second place, Clint Bowyer in third, Denny Hamlin in fourth, and Truex Jr. in fifth.
Harvick had no challengers for the finish of stage one of the 500-mile cup race.
Fellow Ford driver Brad Keselowski won the second stage .
After a 2½-hour rain delay the race started and Harvick took control to win it all.
