The Kane County Health Department will be host to a series of one-day COVID-19 testing events in communities throughout the county, starting Monday, July 27.
The first five event is a walk-up testing from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday, July 27, in the west parking lot of the Kane County Regional Office of Education, 28 N. 1st St., Geneva.
The following is a list of upcoming events to help you “save the date.” We’ll update this post with additional information as it becomes available.
- Monday, July 27, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Regional Office of Education, 28 N. First Street, Geneva
- Tuesday, July 28, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Kimball Middle School, 451 N, McLean Boulevard, Elgin
- Wednesday, July 29, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Kimball Middle School, 451 N, McLean Boulevard, Elgin
- Thursday, July 30, Carpentersville, location TBD
- Friday, July 31, Illinois Youth Center, 3825 Campton Hills Road, St. Charles.
Anyone can be tested at the drive-up or walk-up events. You do not need to show symptoms or get permission from a doctor.
No formal identification is required for testing, but you will need to provide contact information to receive test results. Health officials say it usually takes three to seven days to get results.
Testing is financed by the Illinois Department of Public Health.
