Jamaican runner Hansle Parchment made it to the Olympics, but took the wrong bus to his 110 meters hurdles, which landed him at the aquatics center. Fortunately, a kindhearted volunteer gave him money for a taxi, to get him to the right venue just in time. Hansle won the Gold Medal in the 110-meter hurdles, then found the volunteer, thanked her and said, “You were instrumental in my victory.”

Affirmative prayer: Today, I raise my vision to see others on the journey, giving them love, support, encouragement; giving them a helping hand. I believe in the strength, the goodness, and the high calling of my soul companions, and I’m with them at the starting line, the finish line, all along the way. Thank you, God, forever, Amen.
