State representative Barbara Hernandez (D-Aurora) announced State funding awards for infrastructure repairs at 11 organizations in the 50th District. In total, $1.5 million in awards for the 50th District was included in the recently passed Illinois State Budget and will be distributed through the Community Foundation of the Fox River Valley.
“I will always prioritize making sure the community I represent receives its fair share of state funding and that includes funding for some local organizations that are doing important work in our district,” said representative Barbara Hernandez. “I am proud to have helped secure funding for infrastructure improvements and repairs that will benefit the people who work for these great organizations and the people in our community who benefit from their work. I am thankful to the Community Foundation of the Fox River Valley for their critical help in putting this funding to work.”
The organizations in the 50th District receiving funding awards are: The Neighbor Project, Hesed House, Aurora Fire Museum, Aurora Civic Center, Rebuilding Together Aurora, City of Batavia, Mercy Housing, Jennings Terrace, Fox Valley Park District, Aurora Public Library, and West Aurora School District 129.
