Continuing her efforts to meet one-on-one with constituents, State representative Barbara Hernandez, D-Aurora, invites residents to her monthly Coffee and Conversation event Saturday, Nov. 16, from 10 to 11:30 a.m. at Two Brothers Roundhouse, at 205 N. Broadway in Aurora.
“Each month I hold a coffee and conversation event to provide a casual way local residents to discuss issues that are important to them and share their concerns, ideas, and opinions,” said Hernandez. “At this month’s event, I’m also inviting folks to write thank you letters for veterans in our community in honor of Veterans Day. We can never fully show the amount of gratitude that these men and women deserve for serving our country, but a handwritten note is a timeless and sincere way to show our appreciation to this community.”
Hernandez is host to multiple coffee meetings and other events each month to provide a place for constituents to ask questions, learn about the work being done in Springfield, and share feedback. Other events include town hall meetings, roundtable discussions, and extended and satellite office hours. All future events are always posted on her Facebook page, and are always free and open to the public.
For more information on this event, or to RSVP, please contact Hernandez’s constituent services office at 630-270-1848 or RepBarbaraHernandez@gmail.com.
