High School sports, in modified form, has been rescued from the grips of COVID-19 and will finish with competition this Spring. The finals weekend will end Saturday, June 19, one week later than boys baseball and girls softball ended in previous seasons.
Girls track and field will conclude Saturday, June 12 at Eastern Illinois University in Charleston. Boys track and field will be held June 17-19 at Eastern Illinois University.
Boys LaCrosse, boys baseball, boys volleyball, and girls softball all will end Saturday, June 19. Girls LaCrosse State tournament games will conclude Friday, June 18.
Sectional tournaments in all pending sports will be held this week and conclude Saturday.
The girls State softball tournaments will be in Peoria. Boys baseball State tournaments: Class 4A in Joliet at DuPage Medical Group Stadium; Class 3A in Schaumburg at Wintrust Field, and both 2A and 1A at Illinois State University.
Boys volleyball will be at Hoffman Estates High School and LaCrosse in Arlington Heights at Forest View.
