Holiday help comes from Aurora Area Interfaith Food Pantry

The Aurora Area Interfaith Food Pantry reminds everyone that some needy families in our communities can not afford a holiday meal with loved ones. Anyone can help make the holidays special by:

• Attending the kick-off party Friday, Nov. 1, 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., Ballydoyle Irish Pub, 28 W New York Street, Aurora

• Drop off a frozen or fresh turkey Friday, Nov. 1, 5 p.m. to 9 p.m., Tredwell Coffee, 14 W. Downer Place, Aurora.

Live music, great food, and hot drinks, as well as a specially-crafted turkey sandwich. Bring the kids! Helps to teach children about the importance of giving back.

Cash donations for a complete turkey dinner for $40 can be made by visiting www.aurorafoodpantry.org and selecting “other” and “turkey” in the comment box.

• Purchase groceries for a hungry family at these stores:

Prisco’s Family Market 1108 Prairie Street, Aurora;

Cermak Fresh Market 1250 N. Lake Street, Aurora;

Food Market La Chiquita 1525 Douglas Road, Montgomery.

• Make a financial gift online at visit aurorafoodpantry.org or mail a check (payable to Aurora Food Pantry, P.O. Box 2602, Aurora, IL 60507 Please put “Holiday Food Drive” in the memo line
