Due to the upcoming holiday weekends hours at the Pierce Art and History Center will be Tuesday-Thursday, Dec. 21-23 from noon to 4 p.m. and December 28-30, from noon – 4 p.m.. The building, which contains several exhibits and the shop, will be closed Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Years Eve and New Years Day, but two Tuesdays have been temporarily added to compensate for those closures. The Pierce Center will return to regular hours January 5, 2022. Regular hours are Wed-Fri, noon to 4 p.m. and Saturday 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at 20 E. Downer Place, 60505.
At the Tanner House Museum only one day, Sunday, December 26, remains for the free walk-through to view the holiday décor. Hours are noon to 4pm. Admission is free but donations are appreciated. The house is located at 304 Oak Avenue, 60506.
Regarding 2022 hours, the house reopening has not been determined yet and will depend on the public health situation, but officials are hoping for late spring or early summer.
