The Kane County State’s Attorney’s Office has announced a partnership with Aurora University to host an all-day Human Trafficking Summit at 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 21, Aurora University Banquet Hall, Aurora.
The summit is designed for law enforcement officers, attorneys, social workers, healthcare professionals, and students interested in learning how to identify, prevent, and respond to human trafficking in all its forms.

Throughout the day, attendees will hear from survivors and expert presenters on the front lines of prevention and intervention. The program will include breakout sessions focused on practical strategies, multidisciplinary collaboration, and trauma-informed approaches to supporting survivors and holding traffickers accountable.
“This summit reflects our commitment to educating and equipping our community to stand against trafficking,” said State’s attorney Jamie Mosser. “By working together, we can bring safety and dignity to survivors while holding traffickers accountable.”
The list of presenters includes Kane County State’s attorney Jamie Mosser, representatives from Naomi’s House, Emmaus, Ink180 founder Chris Baker, Cook County Sheriff’s Office deputy chief Dion Trotter, Rush Copley SANE (Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner) program coordinator Gina Becker-Espinoza, and more.
