Illinois State Scholars award for 29 Marmion Academy seniors

The Illinois Student Assistance Commission (ISAC) named 29 Marmion Academy seniors Illinois State Scholars. These 29 seniors represent 24% of the Class of 2020: Jason Baker, Montgomery; Thomas Brown, Aurora; Jack Burke, Batavia; Thomas Conroy, Geneva; Patrick Desch, Batavia; Dominic Diederich, Aurora; Patrick Donahoe, Batavia; Garrett Durian, Wheaton; William Gillian, Sugar Grove; Maxwell Gorlich, St. Charles; Benjamin Hansen, St. Charles; Joseph Leurck, Oswego; Carlos Liz, Aurora; Jackson Malley, Batavia; Aden Morvice, Geneva; Armande Naseem, Naperville; Salvador Orta, Aurora; Benjamin Riner, Geneva; Charles Rogers, Montgomery; Daniel Seraphin, St. Charles; Christopher Sowers, Wheaton; Justin Suess, Batavia; Chase Temple, Yorkville; James Tews, Plainfield; Derek Webb, Batavia; Matthew Woodford, Geneva; Alexander Yakisan, North Aurora; Gabriel Ybarra, Montgomery; and Anthony Zangler, Naperville. Rankings are based on a combination of ACT and/or SAT test score results and class rank in the top 10% of their graduating class at the end of the junior year of high school – unless the students achieved a score at or above the 95th percentile for Illinois students on one of the standardized tests.
