The second annual Indie Author Day will take place at the Sugar Grove Public Library, 125 S. Municipal Drive in Sugar Grove, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 16. Authors are invited to submit for participation by completing a registration form on the Library’s website at www.sgpl.org. Information is on the Indie Author Day page, as well as a link to the online registration form.
This event will be promoted to patrons through social media, web resources, and general press information. The deadline to submit for consideration is November 2.
Each author will be provided table space to meet the public, sign and sell books, and offer a network to the community. Cookies and coffee will be provided to guests throughout the day, lunch will be provided to authors. After the event authors may engage in round table discussions, networking, and a speaker event may be provided with details pending.
The Library has a local focus author area and Illinois history section in the Silent Reading Room. Funds for this area were sponsored by the Friends of the Library to support community culture and learning. Supporting community cultural efforts, authors, and artists, is part of the ongoing mission of the Sugar Grove Public Library and part of the current strategic plan.
